Eagle Mountain Pony Express Days

I decided (a little last minute) to take the kids to the Eagle Mountain carnival on Saturday. It's hard to plan any Saturday activities after working a couple night shifts in a row, but I got up feeling good and had plenty of time to spend the day with the kiddos. Here are some pics from our day...

First up, the giant slide, of course.

First time on this, I was a little nervous but no one got sick.

I had to fight the mama bear instincts on this one, but eventually I let them ride it. They loved it but didn't really feel the need to do it twice.

Face painting...a must. Bella always chooses a cat of sorts.

And Nick on the swings...he's in red, and yes...he's wearing socks with crocks. They dress themselves during the summer, that's all I can say.

Bella rang the bell on this boat the whole time she was riding it. Sheesh.

Here are the kids with their winnings...Bella won the water balloon blow up game, Nick won throwing darts. This is what Nick looked like before getting on the "Tornado". I tried to talk him out of it, but he insisted he could handle it. With Bella, I just kept saying "no....no...no..."

Here is the Tornado. Nick got on with a couple other bigger kids and one "adult" man who apparently thinks it's funny to make kids puke. LOL. He made sure their pod kept spinning and spinning like the tea cup ride at Disneyland while also moving in a circle and up and down.

And here's Nick a half hour later....he was done. Bella wasn't ready to quit the rides yet, so I let her do one more ride and decided to call it quits. We made it home without any vomiting incidents in the car or anything. Whoo hoo!
